Lee started sking at the age of 15  at Villa Olivia ski Area . At the age of 16 moved up to the "big" mountain of Wilmot. Raced Nastar at Cascade Mountain and in his 3rd year on skis had  the 3rd lowest Nastar Handicap in the Nation.  Lee went to Joliet Junior College where he started the school's first ever (fully funded and sponsored) JJC Alpine Racing Team. Raced in the National Collegiate Ski Association for 2 years before focusing on Academics at the University of St. Francis in Joliet IL. After graduating and working in the Chicago area, Lee moved to and lived between Denver and Vail for 2 years. His career pursuits brought him back to Chicago. Skiing was not a big priority until he was 31 years old and could afford to get back into the sport. He raced in a few CMSC races where he quickly progressed into "Elite" class which he won the overall within 3 years. When the ski diminsions changed, Lee dedicated himself to learning the new requirements, strategies and physilology necessary to race at an Elite level. Based on his ability to adapt and  successfully compete nationally in the Masters Series and finish 3rd at Nastar National Championships, he then committed himself to coaching and assisting others up thier game as skis  and tactics continued to change. He has been part of the Wilmot Mountain Coaching Team since 2003. Lee continues to race and finished 2nd overall in the CMSC Elite Class. Lee is the founder of LEEDmedia.com  and is  the owner and President of LEED Performance, Inc. delivering Training, Process and Leadership Consultanting   as well as an Executive and Leadearship Coaching for his Clients wich include: J.D Power & Associates, Audi of America, Mecedez Benz, AT&T, Hyundai of America, Ford Motor Company and Severstal Steel Company. His passion for self assessment and performance improvement seems to serve well for the adventures of life , skiing and the day to day challenges we all face!
